A Message from the President

Dear Members,

I am honored and excited to write to you as the new President of the

White Plains Bar Association. It is with gratitude that I step into this

role, following so many that thoughtfully served both this

organization, and the legal community. Thank you for the trust and support you have placed in me. This association will continue to flourish due to the collective efforts and dedication of our members, and I am committed to working collaboratively with each of you to advance our shared goals. In the coming year, my focus will be on several key areas:

1.) Enhancing Member Services: After much deliberation, we

have just unveiled a “temporary,” but far more functional

website, while our “primary” website is updated - and quite

frankly – overhauled and modernized. Both the temporary

website and the updated primary website will feature

enhanced access to member services; allow members to

submit suggested content; include “Member Spotlight”

articles; streamline membership renewal and event

registration; allow members to pay through the website; and

offer a host of other options. As always, member input

regarding design and feature suggestions is encouraged.

2.) Sponsorship Opportunities: Members and Non-Members

alike are all encouraged to become sponsors of the White

Plains Bar Association – either related to specific events, or

via an annual sponsorship contribution. Sponsorships include

memberships respective to the chosen sponsorship tier, and

sponsors will be afforded priority visibility on the website, as

well as priority speaking opportunities at all our events.

3.) Enhancing Professional Development: I am also happy to announce we are poised to

receive OCA accreditation to be a full-fledged, independent NY State CLE provider. To

that end, after we are accredited we plan to expand our already robust CLE program

schedule to host at least one per month – free to members - and invite all members not

only to attend, but to serve as speakers. All members will have the opportunity to

present CLEs as part of our new continuing legal education service.

4.)  Advocacy and Public Policy: Our association has always played a vital role in the White

Plains legal community. I am dedicated to amplifying our position by introducing an

expanded “Meet the Candidates” series beyond judicial candidates to all political offices

on the City, County, State, and Federal level. Though this program is in formative stages,

we hope to have non-partisan forums where members can discuss issues with a diverse

array of candidates in the lead up to each election.

Needless to say, I encourage all members to stay involved, share your ideas, and

participate in our offerings. Your active engagement will be instrumental in achieving our

collective goals and continuing the tradition of excellence that defines the White Plains Bar Association. Thank you once again for your confidence and support. I look forward to working with you, am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for our association and invite you to renew your membership.

The WPBA is thrilled to announce that the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board has granted us accredited provider status, which is a significant milestone for our organization. This esteemed recognition allows the WPBA to offer New York State Continuing Legal Education (NYS CLE) credit for a variety of continuing legal education courses that we present in traditional live formats, including interactive web conferences. Soon, we will enjoy the honor of being listed among the official accredited CLE providers by the NYS Continuing Legal Education Board, marking a new chapter in our commitment to high-quality legal education and professional development. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Anastazia Sienty and all the dedicated CLE presenters and organizers who have contributed their time and effort over the past five years to make this achievement possible through their unwavering commitment and passion.
